A'S REPORT / Kotsay's back is improving, targets Monday for return (San Francisco Chronicle)
Center fielder Mark Kotsay missed his fourth straight game with back spasms, but trainer Larry Davis said the disabled list isn't an option for now. Kotsay sat out the Cleveland series and had an extra day Thursday because the A's had an off day.
